Um VoiceMACS betreiben zu können, sollten folgende technischen Voraussetzungen erfüllt sein:

Pro Installation ist zudem der Datenbankserver RAG Data erforderlich (der zugleich für andere Produkte der Rummel AG genutzt werden kann).
Weiteres Zubehör:
- Mikrofon („SpeechMike“ von Philips empfohlen)
- Fußschalter und Kopfhörer (zum Beispiel enthalten im „Philips Executive Wiedergabesystem“)
- optional: Spracherkennungssoftware „Dragon Naturally Speaking“ (um Diktate in Text umzusetzen)
